How do I grade the Skill Checks?
To grade the Skill Checks, teachers will need to use their best professional judgment. In the lessons that contain Skill Checks (and the lessons that precede these assessments), there are many examples of appropriate ways to demonstrate each skill, along with specific characteristics of what a proficient response would look like.

1. (P) Proficient is a student demonstrating complete mastery and understanding
2. (A) Approaching is a student demonstrating some understanding of the skill/concept (“using but confusing”)
3. (N) Needs development would be a student who demonstrates little to no understanding of the skill or concept.
